After conference is officially opened and following the opening lecture by Sir Alexander Norman Halliday, we will all meet and greet at the Grand Reception Hall of Cankarjev Dom. After long and strange three years, we will finally have the opportunity to chat in person, meet old friends and make new ones. Chatter will be accompanied with snacks, finger food and selection of excellent slovenian wines and beers.
As tradition goes, no Winterplasma is complete without the very famous Hot Plasma Party. This event brings together student and regular participants in a relaxed atmosphere and atractive setting.
Ljubljana EWCPS Hot Plasma Party will take place at Ljubljana Castle, in the spectacular Rock Hall and Upper Lapidarium. The interesting features of the Rock Hall and Upper Lapidarium are it's multi-level layout and the interweaving of building materials with the geological structure of the ground and rocks Ljubljana Castle stands on. We will offer standing dinner, drinks (a selection of eclectic slovenian wines and beers) and party music.
All you need to do is to take the Funicular Railway to access the Castle (included in the price), relax after a long day at the conference and then party hard »the Hot Plasma« way!
Hot Plasma Party starts at 20:00, the last Funicular leaving »to the valley« is at 24:00. In the case you miss it, you can take many footpaths that lead to the town and stretch your legs with a short stroll to your hotel.
