We recommend shuttle services by two providers for transfer to or from Ljubljana and nearby airports or cities (Ljubljana Airport, Maribor, Trieste, Venice, Treviso, Zagreb....).
GoOpti offers adaptable low-cost transfers to/from airports and cities, which are instantly confirmed, 100% reliable and carried out by skilled drivers and clean modern vehicles. Further GoOpti transfer information and contacts are accessible following the GoOpti link above.
Nomago offers shuttle transfers to/from Ljubljana and Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport. Please follow the Nomago link above to book your transfer. Feel free to contact Nomago for all transportation services and questions (shuttle@nomago.si and prevozi-lj@nomago.si for booking a private transfer).
We discourage the use of non pre-booked taxi services that are provided by the airport taxi association at the Jože Pučnik Airport, as the one-way costs tend to be exceedingly high (expect to pay from 60 - 100€ taxi fare from Ljubljana airport to Ljubljana downtown hotels).
The main international airport is Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, which is set 25 km from Ljubljana. It is currently served by around 240 direct scheduled flights per week from all major hubs in Europe by different airlines (Star Alliance and Skyteam airline members and also by low-fare airlines – easyJet and Wizz Air). Other airports in the area include Trieste Airport, Italy (125 km to Ljubljana), Klagenfurt Airport, Austria (120 km to Ljubljana) and Zagreb Airport, Croatia (147 km to Ljubljana).
Ljubljana can be easily reached from all major European cities. For more information visit the DB TravelService.
